About/Contact Us!

This is a website built by three Social Work Students at Lakehead University. We are currently in a One Year Honours Bachelor of Arts Social Work Program, and this website emerged from an assignment in our Fourth Year Theory Course, Social Work 4401. Our goal of this website was to provide the community members of Thunder Bay with a voice and a place full of resources and connections throughout the community. We believe that there are many things that help create a stronger community, and we hope to have exemplified them here for you. Mental Health, Healthy Living, and Culture are a few of the things we feel are key to healthy community.

We actively encourage visitors to our site to engage in providing us with their opinion on the community of Thunder Bay. We want to hear from you! What changes you feel Thunder Bay needs to do to create a stronger community? What does the word community mean to you, and how can you help work to create a stronger community? Sharing and collaborating is key to community building!

We spent a lot of time going around the community of Thunder Bay to take photographs of things that represent community to us. We also encourage visitors to send in any photo that they feel represents community, and we will share them on the site as well.
